How to Make a “Beer Jack-o-Lantern”

It’s Halloween season and the pumpkin beers (and pumpkins) are in full effect!  How do you take a holiday revered by the children as the best holiday ever (next to Christmas) and make it fun for you as an adult?  That’s easy!  Create a Beer Jack-o-Lantern!  If you’re like us, your first question is probably, “What is that?!”  Well, we’ve actually got TWO different types to show you!  Shall we begin?

#1 Beer Dispensing Jack-o-Lantern

Materials needed:

*Pumpkin

*Sharp Knife

*Large Spoon

*Your Beer of Choice

*Spigot

Directions:

*Cut a circle around the stem to create a lid, much like you would do for a regular Jack-o-Lantern using your sharp knife.

*Using your large spoon, dig out all of the “guts” and seeds.  Careful, it gets messy quickly.

*Cut a small hole near the bottom of the pumpkin (just big enough to place your spigot in.

*Place the spigot in the hole.

*Pour your beer into the top of the pumpkin (pumpkin flavor is probably most appropriate, feel free to order some from us at beerrightnow.com)

*Grab some frosted mugs and enjoy!

#2 Jack-o-Lantern carved to look like your favorite beer

Materials needed:

*Pumpkin

*Sharp Knife

*Large Spoon

*Your Beer of Choice (For drinking, and for inspiration, of course. beerrightnow.com)

*Lots of patience, especially if your design is intricate like the PBR one

*Pen or permanent marker

*A candle to light up your creation!

Directions:

*Cut a circle around the stem to create a lid

*Using your large spoon, dig out all of the “guts” and seeds.  Careful, it gets messy quickly.

*Once you have hollowed out your pumpkin, look at the design of your can, and draw it on your pumpkin with a pen or permanent marker.

*Using your knife, cut out the design.  For parts that don’t need to be a hole, be sure not to dig the knife in too deeply.

*Sip your beer while admiring your work.

*Place a candle inside and glow with pride!
