What to do with Old Wine Corks
If we’re honest with ourselves, we’ve probably gone through too many bottles of wine to count in our lifetime. It’s the same routine. Go to the store, pick out your favorite bottle, chill it, pop the cork, down the wine, toss the bottle and cork. But, what if I told you that you could re-purpose your wine corks? That’s right, much like beer bottles and tops, there are so many things that can be done with wine corks.
– Make Coasters
Gluing together a few corks and cutting to the shape you desire makes for easy coasters. You can also use rubber bands.
-Make Stamps
Cut out your favorite shapes and paste them to the bottom of your corks!
-Make Drawer Pulls
Use corks to open your drawers! All you need is a screw.
– Make A Dart Board
Stop the destruction of your wall by adding corks around a dartboard!
– Make Cork Monogrammed Letters
Glue Corks to your favorite style letter!
-Make Fire Starters!
Soak Corks in rubbing alcohol and when ready to start a fire, throw them in!
-Make Heat Resistant Pot Handles
Use corks on top of your handles to avoid burning your hand, or place them under skinny lid handles.
– Make Fishing Floats!
Use the cork to set how far down your line goes into the water.
– Make cork trivets!
These are perfect for holding hot pots!
This list isn’t all inclusive, of course, but there are so many uses for your corks! Try some of these, and more! Let us know in the comments what you make and how it comes out! Cheers, friends.
