Ten of the Manliest Drinks to Order

Greetings drinkers! This one is dedicated to all you hairy chested, nails for breakfast eating, dirty fingernail manly men! If you’re a girl and think you are particularly tough, you have our permission to also indulge in these choice beverages. We have searched high and low, given surveys, and even and bar stalked some of the manliest men in the country and here is what we have come up with for our list of manliest drinks:

10. Gin Martini

This drink is the quintessential man beverage.  The dryer, the better.  And of course you can’t forget the olive(s)!

9. Whiskey

This drink is NOT for the weak.  If you really want to show that you boast a chest of a million or more hairs, try drinking straight whiskey.  Warning, do not challenge your friends if you have never tasted it before…you. will. LOSE.

8. Rum&Coke/Jack&Coke

This one comes down to personal taste.  Do you like Rum?  Jack?  Whiskey?  (either can be found on beerrightnow.com) Look at this drink as watered down and tasty enough to drink without making the famous “liquor face,” but just manly enough to pass for you to order it.  The soda really helps to bring out the spiciness.  Jack and Coke is most obviously the stronger variation of the two.

7. Whiskey Sour

Although this drink looks not so intimidating and like your girlfriend should be drinking it, contains whiskey. (noticing a pattern?) Add a little lemon juice, sugar, and garnish with a cherry and orange and you’ve got a tasty, yet manly drink.  Save this drink for when you decide to bust out in the ONE pink shirt you own.

6.  Tom Collins

Alright, so arguably, this should be on the women’s list.  But, with a manly name like Tom Collins (seriously, how bad ass does that name sound?) and gin, you can’t go wrong with this classic.  And chances are, you’ll attract the attention of the cute little chick down the bar.  Drink up!

5. Classic Manhattan

The godfather of all manly drinks, this is the most classic you can possibly get.  Bourbon, Vermouth, Bitters, and the ever so dainty cherry make this a classic.  Don’t want the cherry, give it to your new girlfriend.

4. Rusty Nail

This drink is as harsh as it sounds.  Scotch, a lemon peel, and ice make up this tough-to-swallow concoction.  If you have lost man points, this is your ‘shot’ to make them up.  See what I did there?

The ultimate man’s beer.  What’s so special about it?  Well, it is the strongest beer in the world at an astonishing 55%.  And, for added manly effect, it is always found nestled inside an animal like a squirrel or other small rodent.

Mad Men lovers unite! This drink is perfect for any man wishing to look extremely manly and just a tad dapper.  With bourbon, sugar water, bitters, and NO FRUIT, you are sure to look like the fine man you are.

1. Irish Car Bomb

This is another ultimate manly beer mixture.  Ingredients?  Irish cream and Irish whiskey in a shot glass dropped into a larger glass of Irish stout.  Sound manly?  You bet your chest hair it is!  One tip though: drink it before it curdles or you might be throwing up what you’re trying to put down!
