The Alcohol That Will Do You Dirty
We all have certain alcoholic beverages that we just can’t have too many of without having the dreaded next day “how did I get here naked syndrome”. Mine is Blue Motherfuckers. I suppose too much of any alcohol will have this effect, though. However, typically when you ask around, the one alcohol that will undoubtedly do you dirty every time is…*cue evil music*…TEQUILA!
To quote one of my good friends, “Tequila makes you take your clothes off.” I wish I could say that this wasn’t true, but as a victim of this dastardly beverage, I can only sigh and say, “true”. The fact of the matter is, tequila is very smooth, and although it still tastes like alcohol, it goes down easy with a little salt and the bite of a lemon/lime. However, there are other adverse effects of going crazy with shots of Patron besides waking up the next day in bed next to someone who you only knew thanks to a friend.
It also does you dirty with the subsequent hangover that looms over you as you awake in that strange bed. A tequila hangover is THE WORST. Seriously, you’ll probably feel like you are dying…as if you know what that feels like. Unfortunately, a tequila hangover seems to be the ONE type that does not get better with tons of bread, a shower, and tons of Ibuprofen.
Long story short, continue to drink Tequila, but take precautions. Drink a full glass of water before starting and a full glass of water before you lay down (if you aren’t too drunk and pass out). Also, take meds immediately when you wake up to offset any possible headache pain. Tequila can be a dirty, dirty girl, but when enjoyed responsibly, you can have a very fun night!
