Rising Trend Alert! The Beers Your Girlfriend Will Love
Beer; America’s pastime. While this has long been claimed as a manly drink, there is no shame in a woman appreciating a fine beer. In fact, there is no better time than now to understand the best beers for your girlfriend (and Mike’s Hard Lemonade does not count!). Without further ado, here are several beers that women will love!
So your girlfriend is a self proclaimed wino. “I don’t like beer, ” she says.
She just doesn’t like beer…yet.
Step 1: Invite her over for a craft night. Get materials to make cookies in a jar, or scrap-booking your year together. Perhaps you might even make a photo collage! This is important: emphasize the crafts.
Step 2: Buy several kinds of craft beers. Here are a beginning few that any non-beer girl can’t resist.
- Stone Ruination’s Double IPA India Pale Ale provides a subdued beer experience, a slightly pine and citrus flavor to hold a girl over. It is available in most states and is a great introductory beer to keep stocked in the refrigerator. Heck, there’s even been haiku’s written in reverence to the Stone Ruination beer god, and if that doesn’t entice your girlfriend, she should try it and in no time will be drafting her own Japanese poems.
- Hennepin (Farmhouse Saison) is an outstanding seasonal beer for the girlfriend. A golden beer that is reminiscent of your girlfriend’s favorite bubbly, it is liquid gold. Somewhat fruity, with a pink lady and gala apple aftertaste, it has a certain je ne sais quois, a refreshing afternoon beer with flavoring perfect to satisfy your girlfriend’s sweet tooth
- Perhaps your girlfriend prefers hot chocolate on a cold night. Don’t fear, there is a beer for this! Chocolate Mint Girl Stout (Babes’ Brew) is an Orlando based brew that plays on the Girl Scout’s Thin Mints in liquid form. An organic brew, it is accented with cacao nibs and peppermint, and is the perfect addition around the campfire.
- Or maybe she likes root beer—she’s sweet and grounded. Not Your Father’s Root Beer (by Small Town Brewery) replicates this taste in a hard version. With unique spices and a sweet vanilla after taste, this is the beer for non-beer drinkers.Try it once, and you just might find yourself hooked too!
Step 3: Success– it’s no surprise your girlfriend likes crafts. Give her a 6 pack to start, and you will be pleasantly surprised her refrigerator is stocked with craft beers the next time
